Sample -- 30th birthday
Since you are turning 30,
I’m bringing in my boys
To give you thirty birthday spanks
And confiscate your toys.
I’ve noticed you maturing, see –
Less hooligan, more dad;
Your tastes run quaint, my coffee date,
From gravy boats to plaid.
You make a mean bean salad
And a catchy composition;
You’re half of twins but wholly you –
An artist on a mission.
So welcome this new decade
With the challenges it holds –
And here’s to carp-ing diem
As the coming year unfolds.
